With “study, stay, suceed in Karlsruhe”, the Career Service, together with other partners, supports you during your studies in gaining a foothold here and making a successful start to your professional life.

Below you will find special Career Service offers for international students – from individual counseling to workshops, courses, and info events, as well as opportunities to get to know companies and build your first professional networks. Of course, all our other offers are also open to you regardless of your nationality, since they are aimed at all KIT students. Feel free to browse the navigation and discover what suits you best.

Start your Career in the Karlsruhe TechnologyRegion

Together with the Welcome Center of the Karlsruhe TechnologyRegion, we invite international students, graduates, doctoral candidates, and postdocs to this inspiring information and networking event.

At the heart of the program is an engaging panel discussion: recruiters and KIT alumni share their experiences and provide practical tips on starting a career in Germany. In addition, you will get to know various advisory and support services – from KIT’s internal units to external partners such as the Federal Employment Agency.

During the subsequent “Marketplace of Opportunities,” you will have the chance to talk directly with experts, recruiters, and alumni, ask your questions, and build your first contacts for your future in Germany.

Offers from our KIT partners

International Students Office
With “Studienstart International,” the International Students Office offers you the perfect start to your studies at KIT.

Through the international Buddy Program, you can quickly make connections and get support in everyday life.

For any questions related to your studies, the team at the International Student Hub is there for you.

You can also take part in events such as "Navigating Stress in Student Life," which are designed to support you throughout your student life.

German courses at Studienkolleg
The better you manage to learn German during your studies, the more job opportunities will be open to you.

At the Studienkolleg, you can learn German at different proficiency levels, and as an international student, you are exempt from paying fees for one German course per semester.

STEM courses in (advanced) mathematics I at the MINT-Kolleg
All STEM subjects at KIT contain a high proportion of mathematics.

The MINT-Kolleg offers a course in (Advanced) Mathematics I specifically for international students.

This course supports the content of the lectures “Advanced Mathematics I” and “Mathematics 1.”
