Voices and successes
"For me, the KIT Career Fair was a great opportunity to get in touch with technology companies. The relaxed and personal conversations at the exhibition stands in particular helped me to gain realistic insights into the companies. I became aware of a job offer through the fair – today I work there as a scientific employee in process development. I would highly recommend the KIT Career Fair to all students who want to know early on where their professional journey will take them and want to make contacts in the field. Preparation
Where can I find an overview of the companies
You can find the directory of exhibitors here. Note: Each company will only be present on one of the fair days, so it’s worth taking a look at the company directory in advance. There you can see which companies will be there on which day and at which stand number. You can also filter by field of study, industry and more, find out about the company in its exhibition profile, and view the companies’ job vacancies directly.
Can I make appointments with companies in advance for the career fair?
You have two options for getting in touch with suitable companies before the fair:
Simply create a student profile and let interested companies find you. The student profile also gives you the chance to be contacted by suitable companies even after the fair has ended.
If you want to take the initiative yourself: You’ll find contact forms in the companies’ fair profiles, so you can reach out to the relevant contacts in advance and suggest a time to meet at the fair.
Where can I find tips on how to prepare for my visit to the fair?
Sign up for the workshop “Ready for the KIT Career Fair” (in German) on May 18, 2026 and practise how to introduce yourself in person at the stand and strike up a conversation in a confident and focused manner. You can also clarify any questions you have about presenting yourself at the KIT Career Fair in a one-to-one consultation with the Career Service coaches – book your appointment here.

In addition, company representatives have the option of identifying themselves as contact persons for a specific subject area using fabric stickers.
Which color stands for which field of study?
Architecture, Civil Engineering Geo- and Environmental Sciences Chemical and Process Engineering Chemistry and Biosciences Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering Economics and Management, Humanities and Social Sciences Informatics, Information Systems Mathematics, Physics
Is there a job wall?
There is no physical job wall with printed job advertisements – we have decided against this for environmental reasons. Instead, we offer a pre-screened online job market featuring the latest vacancies from the career fair companies. You can find this here from May 5, 2026.
Is there a career fair catalog?
In order to avoid printed material and thus unnecessary paper waste, we have been doing without a printed career fair catalog for some time now. You can find all the important information about the exhibitors and the career fair on this website and in the career fair profiles in the company directory.
Can I have my application documents checked?
Yes, please bring your documents and an interesting job advertisement with you. The Career Service team and advisors from the Federal Employment Agency will be there for you on both days of the fair from 12 noon to 5 p.m. to answer your questions in a brief personal consultation. Where can I get more information on applications, job searches etc.?
In the student tent, you can listen to short info talks on frequently asked topics: How should a good application be structured? What are the dos and don’ts of a job interview? How can you make the most of your visit to the fair for your job search? And much more. Just pop along – you can find more information about the program on this website.
I'm not sure how to get started at the career fair - where can I find tips?
The best place to start is in the Career Service & Alumni student tent! Here you can get tips and information as well as textile stickers in the color of your field of study.
I have a visual impairment – is there a guide available to assist me at the fair?
Yes, please come to the student tent, which is set up opposite the Audimax on the upper Forum lawn. A tactile floor guidance system in the tent will lead you to the information desk, where we’ll be happy to arrange a guide for you.
Is there food and drink available at the KIT Career Fair?
To ensure you’re well-fuelled for plenty of great conversations at the fair, we’ll provide you with a delicious free vegetarian or vegan meal per day – while stocks last. To claim this, simply collect a food coin with your KIT Card at the information desk in the student tent. You can then redeem this at a food truck of your choice. Food coins are issued on the hour and are valid on the day of issue. This offer is available to KIT students only and is subject to availability. For a quick refreshment, you can fill up your own water bottle at the water station near the Asta container. We do not provide disposable cups to avoid unnecessary waste.
