KIT Career ServiceFemale Career
Briefly explained
Why are there offers for women?
We offer female students and graduates the opportunity to exchange and network with female peers and role models. We want to encourage female KIT students to believe in themselves, to pursue their personal career goals with determination and to stand up for themselves.
As a career service, we are dedicated to all questions relating to applications and careers in order to support students in successfully mastering their career entry. In this context, it is also important for us to address the specific challenges faced by women.

Note: For KIT, women are more diverse than a biological gender. We understand women to be anyone who identifies as female.

Our events

KIT Female Power Hour

Our KIT female power hour exchange groups offer female KIT students a safe space to share their experiences and thoughts. In regular meetings, about three times a year, we discuss topics related to the life of women in studies, science and work. The exchange promotes the coming together of different perspectives and makes it possible to listen to and encourage each other.
Especially in science and STEM, women are often confronted with structural inequalities. Stereotypes, unconscious prejudices and existing power imbalances can influence their careers. In our discussion groups, we can openly address these issues, develop strategies together and learn from each other.
How do we deal with the challenges of the academic world? How can we support each other? How can we support each other when it comes to careers, career entry and work-life balance? It's not just about individual strength, but also about collective awareness. Our exchange rounds provide space for networking in solidarity, self-empowerment and empowerment. The meetings are interactive and open - each participant can contribute as much as she wants. A thematic input is intended to stimulate exchange.

Comments from our participants
Inspiring experiences
“I only planned to stay for a little while, but I was so captivated by the discussion that I stayed until the end. The panellists were inspiring: authentic, courageous mothers who spoke from the heart with great energy. I was particularly impressed by the appreciative tone — not women against men, but genuine cooperation.”
