The KIT Career Fair is the job open-air directly on the campus of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and takes place once a year in May. The Career Service event has been bringing companies and qualified young professionals together since 2013. Present yourself as an attractive employer on one of the two days of the fair and make contacts at eye level with students, doctoral candidates, alumnae and alumni of KIT. Whether at one of the around 180 company stands, at the table football or at the food truck - the focus is on real conversations in a relaxed atmosphere. Show what your company is all about and inspire potential talents for internships, theses or direct entry. Sustainable, uncomplicated and personal - this is how modern recruiting works at KIT.
Get to know students from all disciplines centrally on campus.
Match in advance via the student profiles and on site via colored stickers with suitable participants.
Get in touch with your young target group in a relaxed open-air atmosphere.

Questions?
General
What is the KIT Career Fair?
The KIT Career Fair is the annual company contact fair at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). It is organized by the KIT Career Service. The fair is aimed at students, doctoral candidates, alumnae and alumni of all disciplines and offers them the opportunity to find out about potential employers and career entry. At the same time, it offers you as a company a platform to present yourself to qualified junior staff with vacancies and information on the application process, recruiting and career paths in your company. Please note that the fair is intended exclusively for recruiting purposes.
What is the purpose of the KIT Career Fair?
The purpose of the KIT Career Fair is to bring you into contact with future young professionals. Your presence at the fair should therefore be exclusively for information and recruiting purposes - from internships to direct entry, you can showcase all the opportunities that your company offers future employees. Tip: In addition to HR personnel, also bring colleagues from specialist departments to the fair, as this is always in particular demand from KIT students.
When will the next KIT Career Fair take place?
The KIT Career Fair usually takes place in May, the date for the next fair is May 19 and 20, 2026. The fair is open to participants on both days between 12 p.m. and 5 p.m.
Where does the KIT Career Fair take place?
The KIT Career Fair takes place on the South Campus of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) as an open-air event on the forum in front of the Audimax.
What does the setting of the KIT Career Fair look like?
The special thing about the KIT Career Fair is the festival atmosphere: The fair takes place as a job open-air and not as a classic fair with hall flair. This means that the KIT Career Fair meets the needs of the young audience, while at the same time enabling a more sustainable and contemporary event organization. As a company, you have your own fixed area - be it with your own pagoda or with a bar table in the communal tent. The area is complemented by game stations such as table football, seating areas and food trucks to offer you various opportunities to make contacts. The KIT Career Fair takes place as an open-air event in all weathers, so please consider this when making your booking decision.
To what extent has the KIT Career Fair become more sustainable?
In times of energy crises and climate change, a large, temporary exhibition tent that has to be heated or air-conditioned depending on the weather seems out of date. We have therefore opted for a much more energy-efficient open-air event, saving hundreds of liters of heating oil, among other things. In order to avoid waste, we have reduced our printed materials and offer you, for example, a digital trade fair profile that gives students quick online access to your important information. In the interests of sustainability, we also ask you as a company to bring a small number of your own reusable roll-ups and beach flags to the fair for branding purposes and to keep the number of flyers and give-aways to a minimum. We restrict deliveries and access to the campus to a minimum - also for safety reasons. Those who do not want to do without large exhibition walls and stand structures can book one of the five premium pagodas available per day (entry permit included). We offer many vegetarian and vegan dishes at regional food trucks. We do not use paper cups and instead ask students to bring their own drinking bottles and fill them up on site at water stations.
Booking
Which booths can I book?
You can choose between a basic stand in a shared tent together with other companies, an individual pagoda and a large premium pagoda with outdoor space on request. You will find more detailed information and prices here in this flyer.
How many places are available at the KIT Career Fair?
There are 88 stands available per day, divided into 56 pagodas, 5 premium pagodas, and 27 basic stands.
How can I book participation in the KIT Career Fair?
The KIT Career Fair can only be booked via the webshop on the Career Service website. To do this, you must register with your company or have access to your existing account.
When can I book my participation in the KIT Career Fair?
The webshop for the KIT Career Fair is usually activated every year in January, the exact date is published here in advance and communicated via our newsletter .
Which general terms apply?
Only the General Terms and Conditions of the KIT Career Service Website apply to the booking of participation in the KIT Career Fair. Unfortunately, we cannot make you an offer for the KIT Career Fair. Please use our preliminary booking confirmation to generate a PO number (if required).
Can we participate on two days?
Unfortunately, it is not possible to participate on both days of the fair. Due to the spatial conditions, the number of available stand spaces is limited. We would like to give as many companies as possible the opportunity to book a stand and thus offer KIT students a wide range of products and services.
Are there joint stand possibilities?
We do not offer collective or joint stands separately. Each stand is linked to the corresponding online trade fair profile of the company making the booking. For technical reasons, only one company name and one logo can be stored in the trade fair profile. If you would like to appear together with other companies, you can decide for yourself who makes the booking and thus appears in the alphabetical list of exhibitors and on the logo overview. You then have the option of listing your partner or subsidiary companies in free text in the trade fair profile. You can also create and upload a combined logo file or enter the company name so that other exhibitors can be seen from it (e.g. “Company name and partner”).
Why are there stand quotas according to subject areas?
The KIT Career Fair is the official company contact fair of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and is aimed at students, doctoral candidates and graduates of all disciplines. In order to be able to offer as diverse a selection of companies and industries as possible, the available stand spaces are divided into contingents according to the desired fields of study. Within these contingents, places are allocated according to the time of receipt of bookings.
Between which study degrees can I choose?
The contingents for the subject areas you are looking for are clustered thematically. You can choose between:
architecture, civil engineering, earth and environmental sciences
electrical engineering and information technology, mechanical engineering
economics, humanities and social sciences
computer science, business informatics
mathematics, physics
chemical engineering and process engineering
chemistry and biosciences
You can find out more details about which degree courses have been grouped together here when you book in the webshop.
We are looking for junior staff from various specialist areas - which one should I choose when booking?
When booking, select the area in which your company is primarily looking for young talent or is bringing the most vacancies to the fair. If you are also bringing job offers from other departments or are looking for students from other degree programs, you can indicate this in the online fair profile (“Which students are you looking for at the KIT Career Fair?”) and thus also be filtered and found by students. We also offer colored stickers for your company stand and for your employees as well as for the students on site - with these you can visually show which disciplines you are looking for.
What cancelation options do I have?
Your booking is binding and can only be canceled in extraordinary cases (see GTC, section 13.2).
On Campus
Can I park on campus?
No, parking on the KIT campus is not possible. You can park in one of the nearest parking garages (Parkgarage Fasanengarten - walking distance approx. 5 minutes; Parkgarage Schlossplatz - walking distance approx. 15 minutes) or on freely available parking lots along the Adenauerring. However, we particularly recommend that you arrive by public transportation - the KIT campus is easily accessible by streetcar from various directions via the Durlacher Tor stop.
Can I get on campus for unloading?
For security reasons, access to the campus is very limited - we can offer you an entry permit if you have booked one of the five premium pagodas available per day and bring more material and furniture to equip your stand. If you have booked a simple pagoda or a stand in a communal tent, we are unfortunately unable to issue you with an entry permit. In this case, it is best to only bring design elements for your stand that you can easily carry (beach flag, roll-up, etc.) or take a handcart or handcart with you to transport stand equipment and give-aways from your car to the exhibition grounds.
Are there power connections?
Yes, all exhibition stands - whether Premium Pagoda, Pagoda or basic stand in the community tent - will have a power connection so that you can connect laptops or demonstration devices, for example.
Is there vegetarian or vegan food?
Yes, the catering at the KIT Career Fair is completely vegetarian and vegan. We want to set an example: for more sustainability, fewer emissions and a more responsible use of resources. And don't worry, there will still be plenty of variety. Whether savory, sweet, hearty or fresh - there is something for everyone.
What happens if the weather isn't good?
The KIT Career Fair is an open-air event and takes place in the open air whatever the weather. Your trade fair presentation is easily protected by your pagoda or the communal tent, and there are also shaded seating areas with parasols on the grounds as well as a company café in the foyer of the Audimax building - but no continuous roofing. Whether it's full sun or a surprise spring shower, anything is possible in May and should be planned for when choosing your clothes
Where can I find important information for the exhibitors?
You will find all important information in your trade fair area (visible after login).
