Artificial intelligence (AI) can provide valuable support throughout the job application process and take some of the work off your hands—from initial orientation all the way through to specific preparation for the interview. However, the key is how you formulate the right questions and instructions for AI tools. That’s exactly where good prompts come in. In our secure area, you’ll find helpful prompt examples at a glance for various steps in your application process.

How Effective Prompts Can Help You During the Application Process
AI tools are only as good as the input you provide. An imprecise prompt often leads to vague or unhelpful responses. With precise prompts, however, you can use AI at every stage of your application, for example:
- to find out which jobs are a good fit for your degree program
- to make your resume more organized
- to structure or revise your cover letter
- or to practice typical questions for the job interview
You’ll soon find specific examples of prompts you can copy directly and adapt to your situation in the login area.
Using AI Wisely: Data Protection and Responsible Use
AI can offer suggestions, help structure your text, and provide ideas. However, your application will only be convincing if you tailor the content to your own experiences, strengths, and goals. So use AI as a tool to support you, not as a substitute for your own voice. Always critically evaluate the suggestions, verify sources, and find your own unique voice.
