Description
Together with the Institute for Automation and Applied Informatics, we offer the “Laboratory Mechatronics“ during the winter semester. In this lab, students apply their knowledge of mechatronics, measurement, and control to solve a practical engineering problem. Our institute is responsible for the measurement part, which focuses on image processing, object detection, and segmentation.
We are looking for 2 students supporting the supervision of the lab!As an experiment supervisor, you will independently conduct colloquia with the groups of four students and assist in performing experiments, and act as the expert in image capturing, image processing, and object segmentation. You will guide students when they encounter difficulties and help ensure a smoothlab experience. Since this lab got renewed, you will also test the new lab with us and give us feedback for improvements. The testing phase will be in January.The lab is organized as a block seminar and takes place from April 13 to 17, 2026 (Calendar Week 16). Each day, students will work from 10:00 to 17:00 with short breaks, and the total workload for the position is approximately 50–60 hours for teaching + around 20 hours for the testing.We are interested in students from various disciplines.
