Description

Cancer drug resistance remains a major challenge, highlighting the need to understand how tumor cells adapt their metabolism to treatment. Understanding how cancer cells reprogram their metabolism under drug treatment is key to identifying biomarkers and developing targeted therapies. By combining high-field nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) metabolomics with artificial intelligence (AI)-based analysis, this project aims to uncover hidden metabolic patterns that could guide more effective therapies.
For this purpose, you will culture mammalian cancer cells, expose them to drug treatments, and analyze their metabolic changes using NMR spectroscopy. The resulting data will be explored with advanced AI and machine learning methods.
This is an interdisciplinary project at the interface of cell biology, metabolomics, and AI, offering the opportunity to gain experience across experimental and computational fields.
