Spring is just around the corner and we're ringing in the season together!
Join us for a relaxing walk in the park, with time to chat, meet people and enjoy the fresh air. Feel free to bring your favourite hot drink in a thermos cup.
Depending on the weather and our mood, we'll move to the warmth of the cafeteria sooner or later and sit together for a while.
Come along, we look forward to seeing you! ????
All Flinta* are welcome.
What is the KIT female power hour?
Our female power hour discussion groups offer female students at KIT a safe space to share experiences and thoughts. In regular meetings, about three times a year, we discuss topics related to the lives of women in academia, science, and professional life. The exchange promotes the coming together of different perspectives and enables us to listen to and encourage each other.
Women are often confronted with structural inequalities, especially in science and STEM fields. Stereotypes, unconscious biases, and existing power imbalances can influence their careers. In our exchange rounds, we can openly address these issues, develop strategies together, and learn from each other.

How do we deal with the challenges of the academic world? How can we support each other? How can we support each other in matters relating to careers, starting a career and balancing family and work? It is not just about individual strength, but also about collective awareness. Our exchange rounds provide space for solidarity-based networking, self-empowerment and empowerment. The meetings are interactive and open – each participant can contribute as much as she wants.
