Once you have selected filters and clicked on “Search,” the overview will show which filters you have applied.

Explaining the filter options
  1. Quick search: Here you can enter any keywords and terms and get a list of all job ads that contain this word.
  2. Location/region: Select where you would like to work (e.g., Karlsruhe, Baden-Württemberg, internationally outside Germany, etc.).
  3. Field of study/degree program: If you are searching more broadly, select your field of study here. If you are only searching for companies that have openings specifically related to your degree program, select that program.
  4. Job type: Select the type of contract/position you are looking for, e.g., permanent position, internship, PhD, etc.
  5. Career stage: Select any previous experience you may have.
  6. Industry branch: Only display jobs from companies in your desired industry.
  7. Industry sector: Only display jobs from specific business areas, e.g., human resources, finance and accounting, IT and information technology, etc.
  8. Language at workplace: Select which language should be spoken primarily in the company and only display ads in that language.
  9. German language level: Students whose native language is not German can search for jobs according to their language level.
  10. Type of company: Only display jobs from companies of a certain type, e.g., corporation or start-up, etc.
  11. Homeoffice options: Here you can filter jobs according to this criterion.

Create a watch list on our website


You can mark any ad with the heart below the ad and add it to your watch list.
Just make sure you are logged in first with your KIT-account.
You can then view your watch list here directly on the job board and in your account.

If you want to remove the job ad from your watch list, go to your account, open the watch list, and remove the “heart” next to the job ad you want to remove.

Tip: Check the date when the job was posted online. Green ads are visible for 8 weeks, while gray ads are only visible for 4 weeks. It is often helpful to save a screenshot of the job ad or download it as a PDF.

Save your search and receive updates by email


You can save your search so that you always stay up to date. You will receive email notifications when new suitable job offers are posted on the job board.

This is how it works:

  1. Log in with your KIT account
  2. Select your filter criteria.
  3. Start the search.
  4. Save your search.

Don't want to receive email notifications? You can unsubscribe directly in each email.

Your search criteria for the job board will remain stored in your account until you delete them.
To do this, simply go to the job board when you are logged in and click on Delete search.
