Use the filter options to find the right job for you.

Once you have selected filters and clicked on “Search,” the overview will show which filters you have applied.

Find your matching jobs - how to use the filters

  1. Quick Search: Here you can enter any keywords or terms to see a list of all job postings that contain that word.
  2. Location/Region: Select whether you want to work in Karlsruhe, a German state, or internationally (e.g., Karlsruhe, Baden-Württemberg, International [excluding Germany], etc.) .
  3. Field of Study/Degree Program: If you’re looking for a broader range of options, select your field of study here. If you’re only looking for companies that have openings specifically for your degree program, select it from the dropdown menu below the field of study.
  4. Type of employment Type: Select the type of position you are looking for here, e.g., entry-level, internship, PhD, etc.
  5. Work Time model: Select here whether you are looking for a full-time or part-time position.
  6. Employment duration: Select here whether you are looking for a permanent position or a temporary position.
  7. Career stage: Select your current life stage, e.g., student, recent graduate, doctoral candidate, or someone with professional experience.
  8. Industry branch: Only display jobs from companies in your desired industry.
  9. Industry sector: Only display jobs from specific business areas, e.g., human resources, finance and accounting, IT and information technology, etc.
  10. Language at workplace: Select which language should be spoken primarily in the company and only display ads in that language.
  11. German language level: Students whose native language is not German can search for jobs according to their language level.
  12. Type of company: Only display jobs from companies of a certain type, e.g., corporation or start-up, etc.
  13. Homeoffice options: Here you can filter jobs according to this criterion.

Create a watch list on our website


You can mark any ad with the heart below the ad and add it to your watch list.
Just make sure you are logged in first with your KIT-account.
You can then view your watch list here directly on the job board and in your account.

If you want to remove the job ad from your watch list, go to your account, open the watch list, and remove the “heart” next to the job ad you want to remove.

Tip: Check the date when the job was posted online. Green ads are visible for 8 weeks, while gray ads are only visible for 4 weeks. It is often helpful to save a screenshot of the job ad or download it as a PDF.

Save your search


You can save your search so that you always stay up to date. Next time you log in you can reload the search and get the newest results.

This is how it works:

  1. Log in with your KIT account
  2. Select your filter criteria.
  3. Start the search.
  4. Save your search.

Your search criteria for the job board will remain stored in your account until you delete them.
To do this, simply go to the job board when you are logged in and click on Delete search.
