Student Assistant (HiWi) – ÖPGV: Data in Public Administration

Are you interested in how public administration really works, and why digitalization so often gets stuck there? Do you want to help municipalities make better use of their data?

For our research project ÖPGV (https://öpgv.de), we are looking for a motivated and curious student assistant (HiWi) to join our team.

In ÖPGV, we work together with municipalities, GovTech companies and partners from civil society. As part of the team, you will support use cases with partner cities, research which specialist software (Fachverfahren) municipalities use and which data these systems hold, help with data inventories and prepare results for our platform. You will also support workshops and general project work.

Your Profile
- A genuine interest in public administration, digitalization and data
- A structured and independent way of working
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Good German skills, since you will work directly with municipalities
- The most important: You are curious and want to learn how things work behind the scenes

What We Offer
You will work closely with our team and project partners and get direct insight into real digitalization projects in German municipalities. Working hours are flexible, and there is the option to write your thesis in the project context.
